Psi-Lords is an ongoing series published by Valiant Comics beginning in 1994. The original creative team included writer Tony Bedard and artist Mike Leeke. The series concluded after 10 issues in 1995 but the Psi-Lords still appear in latter issues of Magnus, Robot Fighter (Volume 1).

Initially the series was titled and advertised as "Starwatchers" but a novel called "Starwatcher"[1] (by Moebius) already existed as well as a company called "Starwatcher Graphics," aimed to reprint Moebius work for the U.S. market. Moebius then started working with Marvel Comics who reprinted his work through their Epic Comics imprint between 1987-1988 instead.[2] In addition, there were also plans for a computer-animated film titled "Star Watcher."[3] It is unclear whether Valiant Comics were threatened by Marvel with a lawsuit or decided to play it safe and simply change the title. Either way there is no proof of an actual lawsuit but the series was eventually published as "Psi-Lords." Regardless, the Psi-Lords are often referred to as "Starwatchers" in the stories.

Final note (to avoid confusion): The series was also advertised for a launch in May 1994 and that is exactly when the first issue was released. "September, 1994" is only the cover date and during the 90s most comics were released a few months prior to their cover dates.
