This issue was published in between X-O Manowar #19 and X-O Manowar #20 but has nothing to do with the story arc "Operation Deep Freeze." It was also published the month before the first trade paperback ([[X-O Manowar: Retribution}}) and serves as a prequel to the trade and the story in X-O Manowar #1, respectively, focusing on how Aric Dacia had been abducted and enslaved by the Spider Aliens in the first place.
