Babel is a villain in the Deadside where he is trapped for thousands of years already. Babel can kill with language and words. He also the creator and master of The Bereavers - monster like creatures with giant swords that can also use Babel's language.

In Rapture Babel attempts to build a tower high enough to reach and breach through heaven and create a passage from the Deadside to the Liveside.
