Synopsis[]

Magnus is leading children to safety when he is attacked by Malev-dominated robots. He defeats the attackers with the help of Ivar, the Timewalker. Ivar becomes an even greater threat when his ability to move through time comes to the Emperor's attention. Only Magnus' fighting prowess allows Ivar to escape through the next timearc.[1]

Notes[]

  • Ivar was supposed to jump to Ancient Egypt on a Tuesday night, June 10, 1370 B.C. to return to the love of his life, Nefertiti, as seen at the end of Archer & Armstrong #11 (June, 1993), however, F-7 had different plans and wanted to return to Central-Rob. That scene was a bit of a confusion. The "time portal" was opened by Solar for one person at a time. He asked F-7 where he wanted to go first but Ivar then jumped first with F-7 following him immediately. While Armstrong, drunk as ever, noted "Effseven really did not want to go back to Rob Central," Solar said the "robot's presence [would] affect the space-time flow", thus, sending them both to the robot's destination. Ironically, F-7 never imagined North Am would have fallen into the hands of alien robots in the meantime.
  • The end of the story connects to Timewalker Yearbook #1 (May, 1995) where Ivar shows up on the same red "skip-cycle" at the beginning of the story, in the Mediterranean Desert shortly before the formation of the Mediterranean Sea about 65 million years ago.
