The Deadside Parasite is a very aggressive brain tumor that mortal people get from spending too much time in the Deadside. The tumor leads to intense pain and psychosis. The parasite itself can be seen through deep brain scans, however, it is of supernatural matter and cannot be cured with known medicine.
Eventually Ninjak is able to get a formula for a vaccine using the Deadside Intelligence Mechanism.
