The Armorines are an elite combat unit of trained soldiers who wear exo-skeletons based on the armor of X-O Manowar. There have been two different versions of the Armorines in Valiant Entertainment continuity. They were originally created by Phillip Zahn as a mercenary division of Zahn Enterprises, who used them to battle X-O Manowar. Zahn was eventually arrested and his wife Rebecca contracted the Armorines to the U.S. Military. Under the leadership of Gunny Lewis they would go on to become allies of X-O Manowar.
